The other day I dropped into Ralphs to get goodies for a girls’ gathering. I found these Berry Blast Cupcakes in the Frozen section and nearly cringed at myself for even thinking of buying them. I mean, bright pink cupcakes from the frozen section of a grocery store?? These would surely be terrible.
Alas, they were the only small sized cupcakes that the store had to offer- so I thought, why not give them a try? I mean, it is my duty, after all, to try the good, the bad, and ugly so that you don’t have to.
When I opened the package I got a candy like waft of berry aroma. And then, surprisingly, the cupcake was totally delicious. The vanilla cake was true to Ralphs form.. bouncy, light, fluffy perfection. And while the frosting didn’t blow me away, it was very Good. ย The pink berry icing might have been a little saturated with sweet, tart flavoring, but the white vanilla frosting really helped to balance it all out. Nice! My girlfriends loved these mini-cupcakes with wide-eyed shock and delight. Guess you don’t have to drop $4 a pop on a designer cupcakes to be a party-pleaser!
XOXO

Thanks for the find! I have a friend who is extremely pink-obsessed… to say the least (nearly burned my corneas out when she showed me her room) ๐ I’ll have to pick some of these up for her next gathering.
Omg YUM! I am definitely going to try these. Ps, I just tried the lemon cake at Trader Joes. (I had been eyeing it for weeks.) And it was eh. ๐
I should have never strayed from the Ralph’s lemon pound cake. It is so good.
This is why I love you!!! I would have never thought of getting this at Ralphs!!
Can these berry blast two bite cupcakes be found any place other than Ralph’s? We live in the Seattle area and don’t think there are any Ralph’s here at all. After your review, I just have to find them LOL
These were fabulous! I still can’t believe you got them from the frozen section at Ralph’s. I say, a great find by you – and definitely a party pleaser!
