I’m back from the ‘moon and am not going to lie, it’s hard to adjust to real life! I miss the happy shiny people of Thailand! The lush green jungles, the rushing water of oceans and streams, the wild life, the cheap massages, the tasty food, and on and on I could go. Really, I must return to Thailand soon!
But enough of my moping, let’s talk Thai desserts. Aw Thai desserts, as heavenly as your country is (and it is heaven), your desserts have some wiggle room for improvement. Don’t get me wrong, there are a few Golden cherry worthy treats out there, for which I shot videos, so stay tuned for those! But in general, you’ll most likely come across Khanom Chan, multi-layered cakes using rice flour, tapioca flour, coconut milk and waters with essences like Jasmine. These gelatinous treats can range from sticky to rubbery and have mildly sweet flavors with a sometimes salty tinge. While these desserts were a pass for me, the Roti is insanely, ridiculous, absurdly BANANAS. As in, I die Delicious. Hold tight while I edit that vlog!
