Yesterday I wrote about the significance of “Gluten Free” in this post here. While that information might seem devastating to a dessert fanatic, fear not, there are plenty of naturally gluten free dessert options. In no particular order they are:
- um, CHOCOLATE
- Ice Cream
- Pudding
- Macarons
- Meringue
- Pavalova
- Flourless Chocolate Cake
- Souffles
- Divinity
- Fudge
- Bananas Foster
- Milkshakes
- Sorbet
- Italian Almond Cookies
- Raw desserts
- Caramels
- Candy Apples
- Chocolate fondue
- Custard
- Peanut Butter Cookies (my recipe here)
Wow- there’re a lot of awesome options. So relax, Gluten-Free doesn’t mean Dessert-Free. As always, read the ingredients carefully, especially if you have a true allergy to gluten. For example, an ice cream with pretzels in it would have wheat. Other things to avoid would be traditional chocolate chip cookies, brownies, cake, cupcakes, and donuts. Woa- and pop goes the cupcake bubble! I kid 😉

I have a new friend who is gluten intolerant and your list came just in time! Thanks a lot.
If you’re into baking your own delicious desserts, there are a number of gluten-free flours that are alleged to create wonderful cookies, cakes and all those other yummies on the “you can’t have it” list. Just do an internet search for “gluten free flour” and pick something you think you’d like.
I let out a girlie squeal of delight when I came across your blog. Finally a food blog that can help satisfy my mean sweet tooth! *claps hands excitedly*
Gonna be browsing for hours…
I fear for the immediate future of my waistline.
