Fried Bananas from Izaka-ya on 3rd Street

By Dessert Darling ·   July 24th, 2012

Yesterday I posted this glowing review on the Creme Brûlée at Izaka-ya. Today however, I’ll share the flip side of their dessert menu: these totally uneventful Fried Banana bites. First of all, it’s really hard to mess up banana in a dessert, and yet, this is the second time Izaka-ya has failed (see Banana Crepe review here). This dessert basically tasted like plain, raw bananas, wrapped in bland, fried bread. Snooooze. People, to make bananas rock your dessert- cook them! All the way through!
