OOhMyGaawed- this Molten Lava Cake (or “warm bitter-cake” as the menu puts it) with chocolate sauce, creme fraiche sorbet, and salted honeycomb at the Eveleigh restaurant was Amazing. First of all, I just love this restaurant on Sunset Blvd: I love the fresh, shabby chic venue, the organic dishes dancing with flavor, the perfect portion sizes, fabulous beverages, and sexy atmosphere. Normally, a restaurant this good drops the ball on desserts. However, this was clearly not the case at Eveleigh. Truly, I couldn’t believe it when I had that first, warm, melted bite of chocolately goodness!
Woo! I’m salivating just remembering it! This rich cake went beautifully with the clever and delightful Creme Fraiche Sorbet. Then check out the salted Honeycomb on the side! So fun!
What a sweet ending to a fabulous meal. 5 cherries all the way with a Golden Cherry nom.
